A Valentine for the Distant Ones

February 14th, 2008

Candle light
across a field
A star at night,
so far yet real.

How to call
across the void?
Perhaps music
should be employed.

Which words would work?
They seem so stale.
Try fireworks
with which to hail!

Moons in silent
orbit fly,
pirouette
across the sky.

They needn’t speak
nor work to share;
want only dance
to know the pair;

…cannot forget
the other’s there…
